What happens?
People come together. Most are Christians. Some are not. Christians
will share stories from the last week about how God helped them or
used them to help others. It is a time to thank Jesus.
We will sign/sing songs. Music at NewHopeDeaf gets loud! Usually
Deaf or Hard of Hearing lead the songs.
We have an opportunity to give back to God some of what we made.
Visitors don't have to give anything.
We have a story from the Bible about God. We usually have one more
song. A leader will pray, then we close.
After this, everyone is welcome to stay, have a light snack and
chat.

What do I wear?
You do not have to dress fancy to come to NewHopeDeaf. Wear
comfortable clothes.

What about my children?
The hearing church has infant childcare. They also have programs for
children 5-18. The classes run the same time as our meeting. Your
children are welcome to join those classes or stay with you.
back
Do I have to pay anything?
No. You are our guests. We're happy that you came.
back
Do I have to pray?
No. Sometimes groups will pray at our meetings. No one is forced or
pressured to pray. You can just watch if you like.

I'm not a Christian.
Can I still come?
No one is born a Christian. That is a choice we make. We won't force
you to do anything, say anything or believe anything. It is fine
with us if you come to see what's happening.
back
Do I have to do anything?
No. You can just watch if you like. If you have questions, feel free
to ask.

What about hearing people?
NewHopeDeaf is part of the Deaf Community. The Deaf Community has
Deaf, Hard of Hearing and some Hearing people. All are welcome at
NewHopeDeaf. Hearing people are welcome, and we will voice interpret
our meetings, but hearing people will need to fit themselves into
the 'deafness' of this church.

What about CODAs and
interpreters?
Children Of Deaf Adults and interpreters are an important part of
the community. You all are very important in the eyes of God. You
are welcome here.
back
Do you bite?
Very seldom.
