Congratulations to Thiam and Lily Wong will bring their son, Tristan from the Philippines to Seattle, Washington this fall.
May 26 - Deaf Dancers joined Northwest Folk Life Festival 2007 @ Seattle Center for displaying Filipino folk dances and cultures.
April 17th, Connie Hoff went to the hospital with pneumonia. They also found cancer in one lung and one breast. She's going home on the 24th. Please pray for her.
Easter at NewHopeDeaf. No special programs. No advertising. 38 people came to celebrate Jesus rising from the grave.
Some Deaf. Some Hard of Hearing. Some hearing. White, black and almost every race in between. Seniors and a baby. Some born in the US, some in Laos, some in Ghana and Ethiopia, some in the Philippines.
How does this happen? Jesus died for all people. Jesus offers eternal life to all people. It doesn't matter where you were born or the color of your skin. Jesus makes people from everywhere part of His family.
We just thank God for doing it in such a special way on Easter!
February 25. The roof partially collapsed at the East Annex at Shoreline Community Church. At that time the Fijian church was meeting. Thank God, no one was hurt!
The Fijians inside the building heard the north wall (pictured) crack twice. Then the ceiling cracked. Everyone left quickly.
Again, thank God no one was hurt.    NewHopeDeaf does not meet in this building. Our Sunday services continue the same room and time.
   Happy February birthdays to:
Gabriel Gelicame and Thiam Wong (pictured on the right).
